So disappointing we found this pub a few years ago The food was fantastic the atmosphere was brill. So when by it today we were excited to go back. Dear god what a disappointment. Some young girl behind the bar was the only person in there. I said are you doing food To which she replied food. No we dont do food. Poor pub it needs life . Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We were very impressed that they fitted us in even though they were so busy. They were so helpful to our mum who has mobility issues. Nothing was a trouble and they were happy to accommodate us. Everyone had a smile and a very pleasant attitude. My sister is a trained chief and she was very impressed with the food. Food: 5 Service: 5

Great food, wonderful atmosphere, excellent and friendly service from Yvonne in particular. We visit friends in the area roughly 4 times a year and look forward to visiting the Old Chestnut on our visits. It never fails to deliver a quality meal.

Had the room upstairs for 10 people which was nice, they need more staff as very long wait to get a drink when we arrived and took ages for the table to be cleared, the young guy may be new so hopefully service will improve, food good
