Bidra med feedbackThe worst Indian food I've ever eaten. We ordered 2 dishes and paid over $40 which would have been worth it if the food had any flavour at all. The fish we ordered was sadly tasteless and spiceless and we were served chicken pulav instead of biryani which was basically rice with huge chunks of tasteless chicken thrown in .
The food and service was poor on our last visit. No one was there to seat us, we had to wait for at least 5 minutes before anyone came to the front and that was only after another customer had to find someone for us. We also waited for our bill and it was not busy 3 tables. This happened to the other tables as well. they forgot a dish we ordered and didn’t apologize at all. The butter chicken had a maraschino Cherry in it ? and they do not seem to use a tandoori oven to prepare this dish it is just plain white chicken cut up and thrown in spiced tomato sauce. It is not browned at all with no Smokey flavour that you would expect from it being prepared properly. Vindaloo dish was tasty. Prices have gone up which is understandable with food cost inflation but the quality has gone down. So the overall value is poor. We were regulars of this place but probably will not return and do not recommend.
Pleasant and accommodating staff; sadly, food authenticity not on par with other area Indian restaurants in Markham, say, west of Unionville, along Hwy 7 at 404.Is this my “go to” Indian restaurant? Sadly not.Kid friendliness: Noise level was out of control from the table next to us … fast food/restaurant like so if you’re planning a relaxing adult dinner experience, don’t count on Ambiyan as “The Place” for that occasion.
We went for lunch out with our work friends. The food was simply a standard gravy for all items we ordered. We were very disappointed as there were few people driving more than 50 km just for this food.I tried this place a few times and never felt this bad.
