Bidra med feedbackQuiet night after the holiday rush the staff was great food always good
The food and service were incredible. The atmosphere was tight and a bit noisy.
We went to The Goat for the first time on Christmas Day. I had high hopes because I did hear some good reviews but we did not have a good experience. We made a reservation for 6:15 and showed up on time and then were told that they didn’t have any tables available and we’d have to take a bar top, not the type of experience I was looking for. When I went to order a drink, they no longer had that beer in stock. We were seated underneath a TV which put a flickering spotlight on us while we were at the table. They were playing the Giants game, which I thought was odd in a fancy restaurant because people were cheering on and off for the game. We ordered our food and realize that they no longer had the calamari as an appetizer on the menu. They said they sold out hours ago. When we received our meals, our steaks were tough and they were not served with the mashed potatoes, as were listed on the menu, but with regular potatoes. They informed us that they were not prepared for the number of people that had made reservations. I thought the point of reservations is to know how many people are coming so you could be prepared with the amount of food you will need for the offering on the prefix menu. The staff seem very rushed and you did not get the warm and fuzzy feel for a more upscale restaurant. We will not be returning.
Had 6:15 reservation. Had to wait until almost 7pm to be seated but bartender (Beef) was a great guy who had great conversation. When we sat, they were out of several items which was very disappointing. The food we did get was excellent. Decor was nice but bathrooms definitely need to be updated. Would probably go again if it was closer, but definitely not worth the almost hour drive.
Several menu items were unavailable. Service was very very slow.
