Hank's Untraditional BBQ - Ucluelet

Kinda funky little place, not fancy but friendly and yummy food. Two of us had the rib special, half rack, mashed potatos, corn bread and baked beans. Fall off the bone and meaty ribs, good sauce but not over gooey. Wife had mussels which were very good as well. Nice beers on tap. Good service and reasonable prices

Excellent wee spot in Ucluelet. Took our chance & got last 'minute walk in' rez as it always seemed like it's busy. A good result. Chatted with the chef for brief moments during service at the bar-he really cares about the food and the experience. Staff were a happy bunch too. Mussels, pork rib were generous and very tasty. A small but interesting beer and wine selection is well thought out. Lively ambiance. 4 star. I strongly recommend a reservation.

We came here for dinner on what may have been the hottest day of the year . The place was crowded . Your choice of seating areas was inside where it was unimaginably hot . No air circulation . No a/c . Or outside with NO protection from the hot sun . BUT , the food was fabulous . I got an enormous portion of pulled pork Mac and cheese . FABULOUS! It must have been 5000 calories . I could only eat about 1/2 . I think it cost $17 . Service was good ( apart from what I said about the heat )

Excellent place to enjoy a meal With Friends or family. The food Is delicious and the personnel extremely Helpful. Though the menu is primarily based on Meat they were very accomodating coming up with a delicious vegetarian meal for our daughter

We went here twice while staying in Ucluelet. Food and service were good. BBQ is the specialty. Good selection of craft beers. This place is small and gets busy fast, It's off the main road but with adequate parking available. Limited outside seating available.Try the brisket, it was to die for.
