Ol' River Steakhouse - Tylertown

This restaurant has truly improved under new ownership! The steaks are delightful, and the seafood is excellent! I highly recommend trying the fried mushrooms as an appetizer, along with the fried shrimp and crawfish pasta. The caramel pie and other desserts are also fantastic! However, the steak is definitely my favorite dish on the menu! It's a great cut of meat, perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly to my liking. The service is quick, and the salad bar is great too.

I haven't dined there since the new owners took over. The previous owners were not very welcoming, and the food was mostly frozen and microwaved. It was quite unappetizing!

I highly recommend the fried mushrooms as an appetizer, the fried shrimp, the crusted fish pasta, and the caramel cakes—plus several other fantastic desserts! The steak is my favorite item on the menu; it’s a generous cut of meat, well-seasoned, and cooked just the way I like it. The service is faster now, and the salad options are good too.
