Savannah Praline Company - Tybee Island

I asked my wife, what the world is a praline? Well I’m here to tell ya, they are something! I will probably have to go back before we leave. The employee also gave us a deal on some of the other treats as they were slightly melted. If your debating on going here, do it!

We had a strange experience when we visited. Staff was very quiet and not welcoming and the store seemed out of everything. The dole whip was definitely a plus, but don’t plan on returning.

We arrived at 5pm on Friday (they close at 9:30) and the whole case was empty except for about 10 regular pralines and 8 fudgey ones. I said to the young man working “oh shoot, looks like we’ve come too late today” and he said “no, it’s been like this awhile”. Many of the bulk candy bins were empty and a lot of the remaining were 1/4 full. I went ahead and bought 4 pralines so my sons could try them. They were not good, not fresh tasting and we ended up throwing 2 away. It was surprising that they were not stocked up for the big St Patrick’s parade weekend. Maybe they are going out of business?
