Bidra med feedbackKulturmixer. I wasn't sure what to expect with Malaysian cuisine, so the food in Belancan was an adventure. It is a mix of Thai and Indian kitchens, but not exactly. It was really good. We began sadly with the chicken Satay, they do not serve the lamb Satay... not sure why) and the Roti Canai, which was a bit like a beef quadilla with a curry sauce) The seafood curry in the clay pot was very good, but was served in a metal pan. We also ordered the Daging Kecap Manis, which was a spicy/sweet beef bowl, and we ordered the Cantonese Golden Noodle, which was huge and almost a meal for 2) All in all foods was excellent and service was on site. I would recommend it.

Worth a visit. Our visit was fine. Our party of 10 was treated great. The staff and especially our waitress were very attentive and offered excellent advice. I like to have a taster as a wine with Asian dishes. I saw no one on the menu and they showed on the Alsace wine of Hugel called Gentil. A mixture of Alsatian grapes including whipped it was a perfect choice. The great part is that the sommelier came back with an expression from the Internet describe the wine in detail. That's beyond and beyond! To the food. We started with 20 satay sticks divided between lamb and chicken. They seemed to have been fried in oil instead of being grilled Thai. It added a shame that was very beautiful. The diving sauce had peanuts but was much less in your face peanut taste than most Thai versions. We also had Roti Canai, a grilled flatbread served with a curry. We've shared a lot of entrees. Highlights were the Sambal Tumis Shrimp, which was quite fiery and fast awakened okra, which had no slenderness and were really crispy. This is the way to eat okra! Asparagus tofu, black pepper beef and ginger copper were all excellent. We had two noodle dishes with seafood in each and two rice dishes, the house special fried rice and vegetables fried rice. I liked that both were fried with a fried egg. Every single duck was well prepared and tasteful. Dessert in Asian places can be strange. This is no exception. On the safe side they have fried bananas with coconut ice cream and bread pudding both are quite easy to enjoy for western palates. But some of the authentic Malaysian desserts fall in strange places. Shaved ice cream with aiyu jelly, corn, red beans, cane syrup can be a real flavor confusion. Sometimes sweet, sometimes remember beans and corn. It's just not your normal dessert. But the local desserts were interesting to try. All in all, we had a fabulous evening and would recommend the restaurant to everyone to look for something else.
Must try. Six of us had a family dinner. The Roti and Curry. Amazing court. We shared two, had three. The lemon grass soup was fabulous and full of shrimp, chicken, tofu vegetables and herbs. We pulled it off a bit, but the whole bowl is done. A bowl gives a generous part for four. The Nasi Lemak, coconut rice, was just an interesting mixture of different flavors. We all blended and it was beautiful. Don't miss the walnut shrimp. These rivals of any Chinese restaurant where I had this classic dish. I would have loved some walnuts. Last but not least choose to share a dessert. They'll be stuffed by him, it's worth it. We shared one and a drawn tea. Great flavors. There were more dishes, but these dishes were exceptional. We already organize a return trip with more people, so we have more to share. One of us eats no spicy food, so that it was a little challenge. We had the room with a lazy Susan. The rooms are nice and comfortable. Bring a sweater if you're susceptible to being cool. This is on my A list
I love Malaysian food and have been wanting to come here for awhile. During our visit only half the restaurant was open to guests. They had a nice flow of people coming and going. We were fortunate to not have to wait. Service was great and so was the food. We ordered the… Nasi Lemak better here than most places I’ve tried. Their spicy sambal is really the star. Elevates the dish. We asked for extra on the side and added it to everything. Char Kway Teow big portion, nicely flavored, and noodles were cooked perfectly chewy. Curry Laksa also big portion. Noodles were a little soft for my preference and the broth was slightly bland. Looked jammed packed with flavor but was on the milder side. Roti delicious! Half Hainan Chicken moist and soft three sauces. We were full off everything else so we took this home.
