Bidra med feedbackWe arrive there without a reservation. It was our first time in Tuscania...and... we were amazed by the wonderful dinner in this restaurant. Antipasto with traditional local salami and seasoned sheep cheese (pecorino) followed by a typical chiken stew (pollo alla maremmana) cooked into wine, pepper, tomato and bacon! simply fantastic! My partner had a steak with truffles and it was perfectly cooked and tasted very genuine! The white truffle was a delicious surprise! As a side dish, we shared some cicoria , which we appreciated a lot for its typical bitterness. The red house wine was a perfect companion for this dinner and homemade dessert the right end. the price was quite cheap for the high quality! we definitely recommend it!
While walking around Tuscania we stumbled upon Trattoria La Botte Piccola and decided to have lunch there. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and shown to our table. The Trattoria is decorated in a modern fashion, with two seating areas inside and one outside. We ordered two pasta dishes, one with a Carbonara sauce and the other with the Armatriciana sauce. The pasta was perfectly cooked (al dente , served hot and were of ample sizes. We accompanied the dishes with a glass of the house red and white wines. Totally enjoyed the meal, we will be back :
One of the best 'trattoria ' restaurant ever experienced. The menu is only based on products provided by local farmers. So, no fish, just meat. The Italian chef is very good at preparing both pasta and meat based plates. Salami and cheese as starters. Few sides and cakes, everything is prepared day by day. Highly recommended if you wish to experience local genuine food.
Cibo delizioso dal territorio. orgogliosi proprietari, in pieno ragione, del loro lavoro. Ci rivedremo al prossimo viaggio di tuscany!
Veramente tutto speciale, agnello all'incredibile bujone
