Bidra med feedbackWe have been driving past Blackies since I was a kid but never going in. We went in with my family as curiosity took over and just decided to go in! We have lost almost 20 years of good eating because of it!!! Our night started with a wheel of cheese... yes a wheel! It was magnificent, their home made dressing was to die for. Stuffed... We then made room for a rack of lamb and my wife had the peaking duck and my mother a steak. They were all generous in size... huge even. We manage to polish most of our plates off! Almost too stuffed for dessert we threw caution to the wind and ordered anyway... They were a standout! Hands down the best mouse I've had in my life. Service was really friendly and meals were greatly timed in between courses (not too soon not too late) and the price was fairly match to the quality of your food! We have already made family plans to return again! Don't drive by.. stop in!
I had the lambs brains, rack of lamb and the sticky date pudding i also tasted 5 other meals and all were fantastic and a great size. The menu looked expensive but they were massive meals, super tasty quality and beers were only $5. We have eaten at most places in forster and tuncurry and this has been the best place so far. Highly recommended.
Now this is one of the best restaurants in the area. The chef here is A1 he knows how to cook this fella so do yourself a favour and have a meal there for once you've been you'll keep on coming again and again. Totally scrumptious with good service
We had a 70th birthday dinner on Saturday night the food was excellent service was great very friendly owners and staff with very generous portions I highly recommend Blackies
Friendly clean food good servers both entrees and mains way to big smaller would bring down the prices a bit
