Bidra med feedbackWe drove here to dinner when the sun arrived. the location was wonderful- an outdoor restaurant right on the water, with a beautiful view of the sun, the waves and a beautiful brise. they found a table for 5 without problems around...6:30 clock there was a nice selection of cocktails; they smeared as promised. a pina colada was just right. not excessively sweet. the dinner menu had a nice selection of small plates and larger plates; they were from all fish objects, but what was disappointing. yet we ordered a beautiful mix of tellers, and the food was good- a 'caesar salat' with flower cabbage and broccoli delivered beautiful taste, a sweet plate was beautiful and had well prepared products, a beet salad tasted fresh, and black tacos were not too dry. very pleasant eating overall, and nice to have some really well prepared vegetables. the service was on the slow side, but very nice. just expect a cozy tempo. the atmosphere was cold and, as mentioned, the intentional and the brise were perfect. when the evening went on, they had live music I had without the saxophone player, but it was good. pretty good place overall-very relaxing.
It is on the beach that are beering are inexpensive and the service is great. we had the tacos and fischburger who were both delicious. the drink menu is average and the bartender knows what he does. that's worth stopping while you're in...Tulum to waste some time and see how the day disappears.
Our annual trip to qr would not be the same without a trip to que fresco. our most difficult decision is whether they come to breakfast, lunch or dinner - or maybe even two of the three if we are lucky. this trip was dedicated to the breakfast, and...as always it was perfect. sit under a breezy, shady palapa, enjoy fantastic huevos rancheros and delicious coffee. our service was fast, friendly and perfect. great, susan to meet this trip. and chula also! can not wait to come back. and next time for ceviche! thank you!
We didn 't stay at Zamas, but we did eat dinner in their restaurant. We left puzzled at why there is so much hype about this place. The food was mediocre, and overpriced. The ambience is fine, but the restaurant is very large in the sense...that it seats many people. I prefer the more intimate experience found at most other restaurants on the beach. We weren 't impressed with the service, either. Our waiter brought my husband a dish he didn 't order, and gave us an Are you crazy? look when we asked for the correct dish. I understand that you shouldn 't expect the same customer service that you get in the US while in Latin American countries, but if you cater to tourists and charge US prices, then you should prepared to provide US customer service. (This isn 't an ignorant comment, even my Argentinian husband agrees that customer service really doesn 't exist in Latin America). I definitely would not go back. There are so many other better places both in Tulum town and Tulum beach.
Recently visited the restaurant at Zamas, which is still signed Que Fresco but is nothing like it was only three years ago. At that time, it still had great food and a relaxing atmosphere, though it had slipped a bit in the service category from...2003. There is no more Italian flavor, no more wood fired thin crust pizza or amazing pastas. Now, in its expanded state and with new staff, it is a lot more like a standard eatery in Tulum pueblo harried or indifferent service, loud clientele many from Europe none of the class it once had. That said, it would be hard to beat the delicious fish tacos and the prices in general. A good place for a leisurely lunch.
