The pho was delicious, waitress was very friendly and patient. The restaurant was very nice and neat, loved it!
Stumbled upon this restaurant as me and my eating buddy were on the way to eat elsewhere. The person I was with recognized the sign right away, as their friend always dined here and raved about how good the food was. So, we decided to try this place out instead. The menu was pricey to me, (ended up being $64 w/tip for 2 people) but I understand the rise of the cost of things since the pandemic hit. Here's what we ordered and my ratings: Lao style papaya salad: 6.5/10. Not bad. Crunchy and fresh, had the salted crabs in it. However I feel it could have been more tangier...maybe more lime? And definitely way spicier. Fish sauce chicken wings (not on menu): 7.5/10. Pretty good, these were cooked to order and stayed hot the entire time we ate them. They were all flats and a decent size for wings. Beef wrapped in betel leaf: (Bò nướng lá lốt) 8/10. These were delicious. It came with 15 pieces, a side of fresh mint and other veggies, and rice noodles and paper to wrap with. The pineapple sauce was bomb. Only downside it was $20. Vietnamese coffee Thai tea: 7/10. These taste the same to me everywhere, it came with a lot of ice though and $5 each. There were no other cars or anyone else here for a Saturday afternoon...guess it was just an off day. The service given was slow for us being the only ones there...and no one came to check on us to see how the food was or if we needed anything. Also when we were checking out, they had forgotten what we ordered since no one wrote it down, so they had to glance at our table and see what the dishes were and we also reminded them what we got. Aside from that, they were really nice and sweet to us, so I can overlook those mishaps this one time. Overall 7/10 rating for me.
Incredibly delicious food!! Nice staff and the restaurant was extremely clean
We 've driven by this place several times over the last six months or so, putting it on our unwritten list of options for those evenings when the usual places we frequent won 't do. But you know how it is... you never get around to trying them.Tonight we did. And it brought joy.The menu is confrontational, unfamiliar dishes popping out from the ubiquitous, handwritten corrections and price increases and top-shelf prices at that, that the cuisine does not usually command. We didn 't say it, but our check-in glances with one another revealed that we were both considering a hasty, but polite, exit just as our waitress appeared. She explained to us that their menu features dishes from the south of the country. This proximity to Thailand justifies the menu 's pad thai : as well as the flavors that were present in what I ended up ordering...a value item $14 Three Entrees with Rice . Small plates. One, a veg combo of bok choy, onion, broccoli and cauliflower. Two, a pungent soup of cabbage, okra and pineapple in a tamarind-forward broth. Three, chosen over the pork egg a catfish steak braised in a richly-spiced sauce of complexity and mystery.Go now.
