The host was absolutely awful to us, she was rude and nasty and extremely unpleasant argumentative and accused us of not making the reservations correctly when right there on her computer screen you could see our reservations. Afterwards, our server, Kate, was rude and short with us and treated us horribly. We have been long time customers at PJ's but these last two experiences have left such bad tastes in our mouth we're not sure we will be back. We hope the managers/owners at PJ's will take this review to heart and take a closer look at the type of customer service their current staff is providing.

We all loved our meals. Breakfast was lovely and the patio seating was beautiful. Looking forward to our next time!

We loved the polenta fries. Wine list was a little pricey. The outdoor seating is the best .

I have always loved this place as the food has always been delicious, never packed like downtown Truckee and very reasonable prices. All around hit. Went for dinner, there were four of us. Bill without tip was $120.00 No drinks, just 4 dinners and 1 appetizer. Two of us had tri tip French dips, $17. Tri tip tasted more like deli roast but with absolutely NO flavor. The au jus was also flavorless. I kept salting and peppering things but I couldn't fix it. One daughter had the Halibut, good but very simple. My other daughter had filet. Rather small, I'd say 6oz. for $38, enough for my 15 year old daughter but probably not a hungry adult.. The filet itself was actually quite good but last season a filet was only about $24 if I remember right. The description of the filet was much more impressive than the actual dish that was served. Polenta very dry, thought it would have the sauce described to go with it but the sauce was just a very small serving on the steak. So the polenta sticks were just meant to eat plain. Overall, it just wasn't $140 meal for two entrees and a couple of sandwiches. Maybe if EVERYTHING was delicious. May give it one more try, because I liked it so much in the past.
