Java Sushi - Truckee

Probably the nicest variety of sushi in North Tahoe. Lots of cooked rolls, which is actually kind of nice on a winter evening after a day of skiing. One hot sake, several tasty cold sakes. Staff is nice, but service can be slow (compared to sushi bars in more urban areas . So, kick back, relax, and hang out for a while. The miso soup and sake will come fairly quickly. The sushi may take 15 minutes or more (depending on how busy they are . There’s a TV, and it may be showing sports. (That seems to be a recent addition? The place is small, with small tables close together and stools along the sushi bar. If it’s busy, you can expect to wait a while to get a seat. 3 stars in general, probably 4 for Truckee cuisine.
