Trout Lake Tavern

Rude Bar tender/ waitress should not drink it or run a bar. Worst service will not be back, we should stay in the Buckhorn!!!

The Buckhorn had stopped trying Trout Lake Tavern. Friendly bartender, good drinks. 4 stars because it's quite down. We didn't try food. Places like these need our support to stay open or we will all go to Applebee only one day.

We stopped at a late lunch on a day and discovered REALLY good pizza! It was made with fresh ingredients, was hand-cuffed and BIG (a size here). We were glad that it wasn't the usual thick, deep pizza. Too many places give you 2 centimeters of mud dough with a light coating of toppings. This cake is more traditional with the right proportions (dinner dough more topping). Much more tasty than so many other pizza offers in the U.P. This is an older building that could use some update, but we will not stop coming here, regardless! The ride from our city is 27 miles away.

We finally stopped here. We didn't know, but they had temporary hours. In any case, they served us, even though it would last longer. The service was amazing and the food delicious! This is definitely a 5-star place! Oh, I mentioned they served us with a smile and didn't let us feel hastily! We're from Grand Rapids, Michigan, but if we're back in the area, we'll definitely stop there.

Quite a dive... place is run down the roof is falling down, poor lighting. They need to invest some time to fix the place up imo. To top it off, the only worker was not very friendly. Vibes that outsiders don't belong there.
