La Belle Excuse Restaurant

We had an amazing dinner at La Belle Excuse during a long drive. The hostess was exceptional, kind, and friendly, even though there was a slight language barrier. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere with lovely decor and furniture. The Table d'hôte menu was a great value for a four-course meal. The portions were generous and every dish was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely stop by again on my next drive in the area. It was a fantastic dining experience!

My husband and I were in search of a delicious meal after a long day of driving and we decided on La Belle Excuse. We were very pleased with our choice. Despite our limited French language skills and the wait staff's limited English, it did not hinder our dining experience. There was one menu available in English which we used upon arrival. We ordered a three-course meal, each dish prepared with fresh ingredients and beautifully cooked and presented. My husband enjoyed scallops in a buttery sauce for his first course, while I opted for a mix of shellfish and salmon for my main course. The salmon was particularly outstanding, cooked perfectly. Our server was attentive and the timing of our courses was just right. At the end of the meal, my husband went to pay the bill and the chefs came out of the kitchen to inquire about our dining experience. He happily gave them two thumbs up!

This restaurant is exceptional. I am amazed at how they were able to maintain attention to detail while serving such a large group. Their menu was outstanding and they truly rose to the occasion. I would highly recommend this restaurant without hesitation. Even their competitors recognize the excellent job they do. Don't hesitate to give it a try! You will not be disappointed! Four thumbs up!

With a group of people we enjoyed a table d' hote in this restaurant. The owners were most kindly and the food was very tasty.

We really enjoyed our meal here last weekend. The soup tasted great, the salad was good and the look and taste of smoked salmon appetizer was perfect. The fish dish, as excellent as was the dessert. Only draw back is that this restaurent is not...open months a year and since it small, I would suggest to always call for a reservation.
