Terrible: if you get one table you get good wine, local platter, good service, all good, if you go again and get the WRONG table, run by the bar next door, same owners, same food etc, you get a 'posher ' glass, wine much the same, badly presented platter, worse presentation of platter and it all costs more and there is much less good service: what a disaster: stick to next door, and never the bar on the corner

Rude, we were left waiting over 15 minutes, so we vacated the place after being completely ignored. Avoid if you are a tourist. It left a bitter taste in our mouth, having being optimistic on entering the kip. We can’t comment on the food, obviously. They won’t stay open long with that attitude. The 3.5 rating is explained now!

We were told this was popular with the locals, but that shouldn 't mean that tourists get ignored. We waited fifteen minutes to place our drinks order. Maybe we should have gone inside and bought at the bar but we assumed it was restaurant service . Prices were good, as was the food, but the service was not.

Il trattore per i giovani è un'opzione eccellente che va bene da metà mattina fino a tarda sera. vi fermate qui, nella strada centrale e semi-pedonale san lazzaro (solo dietro la chiesa di sant'antonio nuovo,) per fare uno spuntino veloce o un buon pasto caldo. la cucina è la tipica Trieste, con una vasta scelta di contorni. i piatti sono molto buoni e l'atmosfera rilassata e informale. spesso il Venerdì sera c'è anche il pesce grigliato. se si vuole fare solo uno spuntino sono senza pari, per non parlare di leggenda, polpette. molto bene anche le carni in generale, e in particolare i rotoli di cotto con i kren. bicchieri di vino locale hanno prezzi eccellenti e non per caso il locale è sempre pieno.

All dishes we ordered were delicious, especially the whipped baccala, tasted just like our mothers. If you want to taste traditional Trieste food, this is the place to come. Great service our waitress was very helpful. We’re very full and happy!
