Pepenero Pepebianco - TRIESTE

Excellent fine food/gourmet place, probably the best in Trieste (and I'm from Trieste). I was there often with different people and all were amazed. The pictures speak of themselves. Price in accordance with the quality of ingredients and their preparation!

After repeated food in the area it was great to find Pepenero Pepebianco. The owner here, strives for detail quality. It is a few blocks from the tourist area, but definitely worth it... refined, delicious food with a great wine selection. The image is the delicious Tagliatelle homemade pasta with clams.

We had a delicious dinner here. Everything was delicious. Service is friendly and efficient. We tried wines from Friuli and Croatia and they were so good! Great.

A group of five friends, we had a delicious meal here in April. Two of us chose the « surprise » menu one meat, the other fish, 3 went à la carte. The menu was varied, so the choice of dishes was a pleasant challenge! The food was nice, fresh fish singing on the plate, beef cheek that had melted in the mouth, light pasta dishes with asparagus, roasted octopus with an olive grove, delicate pig bell....all yum. Desserts were also satisfying, with a trio of chocolate popularity, a fabulous strawberry dome, light cheesecake with taste. The service was great, the owner explains every dish and advises us on wine. We followed their recommendations happy, and the wine perfectly complemented our food. The dining room is a beautiful, modern, comfortable place, and the atmosphere is quiet, friendly, unpretentious and quiet. We had a very special evening. This is a wonderful restaurant.

Wow wow wow. Such scrumptious food! I order zucchini flower tempura which cheese mousse! The seafood pasta and the bottle of wine. Wow. I spent under 150 dollars for a 3 course meal for two with a bottle of wine. Worth it!!
