der Italiener - Trier

I absolutely adore this restaurant!!! It was a coincidence that we found it because we got to Trier around 10pm that night and a lady from a different restaurant (their kitchen was already closed) pointed out to this place. It doesn 't look special from outside but already little bit fancy inside. Everyone was wearing casual cloth so we didn 't feel uncomfortable. From what I can tell about the other people it seems like the perfect restaurant to hang out after a long shopping trip. The staff was super friendly and they made the kitchen stay open a little longer. We had a table in our own little corner which was super because we could still see the other guests but still had privacy. The menu is huge, there 's so many dishes and it 's hard to make up your mind but all of it sounds delicious. We decided to try snails (if we wouldn 't like it, it wouldn 't have been offensive to 'spit ' them in the napkin, because of our cute corner). But they were amazing!!! For dinner I had pasta filled with walnut and some kind of walnut sauce. That was the moment when I fell in love with this place! I haven 't eaten that good in a long time. And the best part: for a water, a large soda, a coffee, the starter and two main dishes, we paid 37€!!! Awesome place!!!!
