Bidra med feedbackAmazing bread! Excellent pastries! And we just enjoyed a lovely dinner. 5 stars
My coworker and I both had a birthday this weekend but had to work. Our boss offered to get us all lunch from Common Good on 8th street as a treat. Excited, we ordered and both got the Cuban panini. It was horrible. $18 for a sandwich that had one little slice of meat. The first bite was a mouthful of mustard. The bread was hard. $18, I repeat. $18. Never again. I felt embarrassed that my boss got us this as a treat and it ended up being a flop.
We bought loaves of the bread because we couldn’t decide on one. All of them are true artisan, hand crafted breads. I love the 72 hour sourdough and the whole wheat. Breads with levain are “real bread”, in my opinion, and common good is the real deal. The viennoiseries are excellent, and I can’t wait to go back to try more.
I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Authentic, beautifully made bread and pastries. Don’t be turned off by them not having space. Most of the store is an active, buzzing bakery. The staff are friendly and helpful and have your order to you in minutes at the front door or the car. The shop window is an exhibit of the amazing bread they make. We will be back (many times) when we’re back up north. Thank you!
Go here. Don’t even hesitate for a moment. The best breakfast food in Traverse City. Right now it’s only outdoor seating and you order from outside, so this is perfect for bringing back to your own place. But the bakery is some of the best we’ve ever had. Rivals bakeries in France we’ve been to. The chocolate cherry pastries—OMG! Eat here. Often.
