Bidra med feedbackThe menu read well but the welcome wasn't as warm as other places. The pasta was not al dente but hard and indigestible. We asked for it to be cooked more. There were great remonstrations but finally the two dishes went back to the kitchen. The spaghetti with sea urchin came back ok, but such disappointing flavour. However, the tubular pasta with seafood was so hard it had to be sent back twice. When it came back properly cooked, the flavour of the sauce was excellent. However, the wife brought the packet of pasta to show the cooking time and insisted it was properly cooked. Arrogant service.
We had a delicious dinner at this small. The reception was warm and welcoming and the whole family is involved. The chef and his wife are enthusiastic and friendly, their son serves to interpret if needed and young granddaughter adds to the experience. We had a variety of deliciously prepared courses featuring fresh seafood. Every bite was fantastic. We ate outdoors in a quiet setting, the menu was very reasonably priced, You can't do better!
We lucked into dinner at CHEF SAVINO because two restaurants we had picked out were closed on our one night in Trani.. The host at our lodging told us, There is a wonderful restaurant just downstairs. Shall I call them? You won 't be disappointed. She got that right! We were welcomed graciously to a table al fresco. Our server, whose name I don 't know how to spell Alena, maybe? was exceptional and enjoyed practicing her English on us. First came an amuse bouche of house smoked salmon that was swoon worthy. Then we shared grilled octopus as a first course (beautiful) , followed by a flaky white fish called orata, roasted under a bed of coarse salt. A local slightly briny vino bianco was perfect with our seafood. We sipped an amazing amaro after dinner and, knowing it was our anniversary, Alena asked if we had a special song. We do, and they played it. It couldn 't have been a more perfect evening. Don 't miss CHEF SAVINO if you come to Trani. And book a beautiful sea view room at Le Dimore di Don Corrado just upstairs. You 'll have the best of everything right at your fingertips.
To celebrate the daisies that had received baptism for parents had to end equally well and trani, beyond the natural beauty offers many excellent restaurants and chefs and among them. all excited about what we were offered: appetizers of a bonta' and exceptional freshness all based on fish and then first including one (it is right to say) spaghetti with curls and then goose scamps. to finish a wonderful cake. a sin that margherita can enjoy so much goodness only when they show him the photos of those who love him on the day of his baptism. thanks again to the chef saviano who deserves much more. We ran into this restaurant by chance. walk in the streets and move to 200 m from the port. We trust the ridge for our trips. for our tour on the Amalfi Coast and our chickens, we have fallen several times on the recommended restaurants closed, idem for bars. I suppose the Italians close according to the customers and the season .. a priori, small restaurant with some erect tables, a chef who was sitting outside. we understood that the restaurant was only open 30 minutes after our arrival, which explains that. what to say to make short and explicit: everything was top! We trusted the leader in the menu. We started the meal with a crudo dish: lobsters, eight hollow and flat, shells. Then, the chef proposed a seafood risotto. waw, so beautiful. To finish, a shotamisu with a one minute blade. so beautiful. so well welcomed and so well advised, we booked a table for the next noon! We were leaving the afternoon of peri. idem for this second experience: the chef has reserved us a surprise menu. fun the mouth, the entrance with the mussels, the raw tray we loved the day before, linguine vongole, still serves to fall. with this, a white wine also proposed top. service is the family, the son and mm are in the room. The chef is in the kitchen. everything for a very acceptable price compared to everything we ate! He didn't even count us an entrance, nor amuses. very regrettable for this restaurant: on our two visits, we were the only table. incomprehensible when you see that tourists walk on the steps so good restaurants of the port, with the addition that accompany them. advice, don't hesitate and do not pass your path ps: for wine lovers, the chef has very good bottles! we can see some of them exposed and. We would have wanted to be part of it!
