Tipico Rota Dos Cavaleiros - Trancoso

Decent food, typical Portuguese dishes. Nothing fancy but fair price and friendly service. Febras in beer sauce were tasty. Secretos were fine but not the best.

We made a visit to the village of “Moreira de Rei” near “Trancoso” and went for lunch in the restaurant “Rota dos Cavaleiros” in Trancoso. This is a restaurant just on the outside of the city walls. Nice location, super clean on the inside, very friendly service and very good food from a decent quality. We took the soup of the day, than we had two different plates, my wife took a fish plate with “Cherne” and I tasked the steak of the house prepared with a beer-sauce, all this with a red wine, two desserts and two coffees, all this for the price of 30€. View the quality of the food, nothing expensive. So we can do nothing more than warmly recommand this restaurant, anyhow when we personally are in the area, we have the place to be.
