Highland Park Tavern - Townsville

The fish at this restaurant was amazing and the service was excellent. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect 5 out of 5.

The service can be abrupt at times and the quality of the chips varies - sometimes great, other times soggy. The chips also have a strange color. We've been trying to support this small business for about 3 years, but we won't be returning. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

The burgers were tasty, but they were seriously overpriced. I ordered $6 worth of chips and it was barely enough for one person. The prices are way too high. The customer service was lacking and needs improvement. I don't plan on returning. Take out service. Dinner meal. Food: 3 stars. Service: 2 stars. Atmosphere: 2 stars.

Food and service is average. People who work there don't seem too happy. Range is average: no fish pack meal deals (eg fish, chips, drink), no salads. Fish has been ok, burgers are terrible. Prices are decent tho. Specials not properly explained. Hopefully it will change hands and get new management to run it better. Staff/owner is super rude, extra charge for payment with card not sure is that’s legal) Such a shame for having this shop at the best Gold Coast Suburb. Will just drive extra 1minute and buy at the one in Carrara or the shop at Nerang. This shop will never see a cent from my family again.
