Bidra med feedbackIS THIS A RESTAURANT OR A SCAM!? It says they are open every day from 11:30AM to 10:00PM. On Sunday night I ordered food online at 9 o’clock. Got the confirmation email at 9:02. My boyfriend pulls up at 9:40 to the door locked and no answer on the phone. he finally found someone in the parking lot and they never made our food. Had audacity to tell him that we didn’t order from there until he showed them my bank statement of them literally taking the money out of my account. They took the money and I got no food. I went there yesterday after work around 7PM (THREE hours before they close) and they were closed… today is Tuesday and I STILL haven’t been able to get in touch with them….smh I wish I could make this up.
I have eaten at plenty of inferior “crab boil” places at double the price in Manhattan. Steam is a superior technique for heating food compared to boiling in heavy spiced broth. You have better control over the heat, cooking, it’s a lot more sanitary.I don’t know why other reviews are not five stars but at these low prices you need to have frozen seafood and order it in bulk to make sure you get it fresh. Service is solid. The food is both good and consistent. This place does it right. I have come here many times and will bring friends and family when they come to visit.
Nice Atmosphere, nice host. Food was pretty good. Some of it came out hot (with heat), some didn't. Also the spicy hot wasn't at all. Same prices as the other local crab spot. About $25-40 person minimum
If I can give this place a negative 3 star review I would. We just went here and the place was empty. Should of been our 1st sign to leave. We ordered mozzarella sticks and coconut shrimp. Moss sticks were good and coconut shrimp looked.like they dipped it in flour fried it and sprinkled coconut on it . Wasn't good. We ordered for dinner a fried shrimp basket and a create your own meal for 50.00. Food came out and again the shrimp was dipped in flour and fried no flavor and not cleaned. Served it with s in them. My husband's meal was the same. All the shrimp weren't cleaned out and had s in all of them. We stopped eating and asked to speak with the manager. Waitress came back and said the owner said the shrimp is supposed to be like that. I have worked in 3 restaurants and every one has cleaned their shrimp. After arguing about it and them only wanting to take 10$ off they wound up not charging us for it. Deffently stay away from this place
A friend recommended this as a good alternative to Red lobster. She said that Red lobster has become too salty... So why not? My husband's favorite birthday dinner is crab and he shall be appeased! This place is new, it used to be a diner. I never liked it when it was a diner to be honest. But it's completely renovated it's more open and spacious and bright. The decor is in keeping with the seafood and crab feel. There are lots of license plates on the wall but being a license plate aficionado myself I'm going with they are fake for ambiance purposes only. This is backed up by the fact that this is actually a franchise with 52 locations. It was later in the evening when we went so there weren't too many people which could be the reason why our service was slower because there just wasn't the hopping energy of lots of tables to manage. The food was good and came out in a blown up turkey bag filled with lots of delicious crab and flavor. We had a couple of appetizers, but skipped dessert. While we were there the TVs that were turned on to various stations around the restaurant changed to the next show which was 20/20. The sound was off but it appeared to be a show about a teacher that had killed his wife. I asked our waitress if we could have something not having to do with murder on the TV while I was eating. She said she would take care of it but it was never changed. Could this be part of the conspiracy the TV show was probably talking about? Hard to say but I would have preferred something a little less murdery to have in the background while I was eating. Bib, hand wipe, and gloves were all provided. Now on to the bathroom. I'm disappointed that they clearly did a lot to update the restaurant and ignored the bathroom. It was the same tired tiled place I remembered from when it was a diner. It felt like a missed opportunity. They did have touchless paper towel and hand soap dispensers. And it was generally clean. But because it hadn't been renovated like the rest of the restaurant, it occurred to me as dingy which affected my ability to see it as clean. I'm sure that was just perception I didn't actually observe anything unsanitary. The paper towel dispenser was empty so I flipped the switch on my way out to let them know the place needed attention. I didn't go back to confirm if they gave it the attention I requested. I would pee here again.Follow me for more reviews of where I have been and where I have gone. ?
