Park Life Cafe - Tower Hamlets

I ordered a coconut chai latte at this restaurant and was disappointed to receive a half-full cup. When I asked why, I was scolded by the staff. I inquired about a price difference and offered to pay extra but was met with more rudeness. The other customers in the restaurant also noticed the unfriendly behavior of the staff. Despite my polite demeanor, the staff refused to remake my drink and instead just filled it up with milk when I requested a full-sized latte. The female staff member responded loudly and rudely before finally making my drink as requested. It was unacceptable to receive less than what I paid for and the staff's attitude was off-putting to both me and other patrons. Small businesses like this one should hire more pleasant employees, as rude staff can greatly affect the success of the business.

I went to the café at the recently opened Britannia Leisure Centre in Shoreditch Park. I found it to be quite pricey for what we received. I ordered the salt beef on a bloomer, but the bread was very hard and dry without any butter. The beef was also dry and not the salt beef I had expected. It was accompanied by just a few leaves for decoration. I attempted to order a bacon bap, but was told it was only available on the breakfast menu and not at 12.30, despite there being no time restrictions listed on the menu. I would not dine here again, as it felt like a waste of £22.

Really lovely staff. We had a nice latte and smoothie. Would be better if wasn’t raining, but now you can sit inside.

Limited but delicious menu backed up by personal and helpful service. Good value for money and the portion of chips was big enough for 2. If we lived locally we would be regulars.

The staff at this restaurant are consistently friendly and engaging, providing a welcome escape from the challenges of the pandemic. I have been a regular customer for the past few months and have always received top-notch service and delicious coffee. Thank you for creating such a warm and inviting atmosphere.
