Bidra med feedbackWe visited for the second time on Saturday evening. We had a lovely time on our first visit, but the food this time was simply exceptional. The tastiest boquerones we've ever eaten, divine cuttlefish and piquillo pepper croquettes, chargrilled beef onglet to die for...so tender and perfectly cooked! And roasted iberico pork...also delicious and cooked so well. Every single mouthful was full of flavour and so fresh. The staff could not have been more charming. They remembered us from our last visit and were very attentive. Exactly the service you hope for in a restaurant. We'll be back very soon...an absolutely wonderful meal.
We visited on a quiet Tuesday evening after the late Bank Holiday in May. We were greeted instantly by a friendly waiter and given a choice of tables. The waiter was able to suggest how many dishes would be appropriate and make recommendations from the menu. We chose 2 veg, 2 fish and 3 meat dishes along with olives and bread. Every single dish was exquisite and they served them at intermittent intervals so there wasnt loads of dishes sat going cold on the table all together. The flavours were amazing and portions were about the right size. We left feeling full but not over stuffed which was nice. My husband had a coffee and i had the 'Blooms with Strawberry ' gin which was served in the 'goldfish bowl ' traditional style and certainly packed a punch. This is not the cheapest place around but you most certainly get what you pay for....fantastic quality food in really good surroundings. Even our 12yr old daughter loved it and tried a bit of everything! If you only have one night to eat out then you wont be disappointed if you choose this restaurant!
Lovely ambiance with a nice buzzing feel on a Tuesday night but were still able to seat a group of seven without a reservation. Really interesting tapas dishes very out the ordinary but without being pretentious or overly 'adventurous '. We tried a number of the specials which were excellent including suckling pig. The main menu is not overly long around six or seven tapas for each of the meat/seafood/vegetable sections.
What a fantastic place!! I have been to quite a few tapas places over the years and this is up there with the best!! Staff exceptional really friendly and offered advice when needed, speed of service was good with dishes served in timely manner. We tried a mixture from the menu and all came with fantastic taste, the fish selection was amazing with my favourite being the King Prawns. The meats were very special again supers flavours with the Lamb a favourite of mine. All in a fantastic night and would highly recommemd the Salty Beer
I've only been in two or three taps bars before and this one has to be one of the best. The olive with the bread was excellent with a fresh grassy flavour; the chorizo was of the highest order; the rabbit with mince and pistachio nuts ballatine was very good and the accompanying plum sauce was fantastic; Only down side was that we found the prawns difficult to open because the way they were cooked made the shells soft. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
