Our group of 7 was pleased that all our meals came out together and they were accommodating to separate checks. We ordered a variety of dishes including schnitzels, steak, pizza, and duck, and everyone was impressed with the quality and flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I am a regular at Hotel Royal and I must say that I am very impressed with the new look. I give 5 stars to the extremely friendly staff and excellent service. The cleaners are amazing, very helpful and friendly. They are dedicated to keeping Hotel Royal impeccable. I am saddened to hear that their services are no longer required. They will be truly missed. This was a reunion lunch for a large group. Food here is always beautiful and since our last visit the cuisine has switched to primarily Mexican. You can ask for the classic menu but it has limited choices and a few people were disappointed. The staff here are always friendly and helpful and it’s a lovely venue.
After stopping by for a quick beer the night before, we decided to return the next night to sample the Mexican menu at the new CONTESA. The food was absolutely delicious - full of flavor, fresh, tender, and just amazing. We tried the Ribs, Nachos, Octopus, and 16 hour Beef Cheeks. We are food enthusiasts and expect top-notch quality, and we were not let down. Make sure to make a reservation or, like us, just show up on a Tuesday night to be blown away! You will not regret discovering this gem of a restaurant!
We went there for a drink on a Friday and experienced the poorest customer service I can remember. Hardly any bar staff, those that were there were completely inefficient and ineffective. One girl proceeded to serve everyone that got there after us, when I said excuse me but could u tell that bar girl that we have been waiting longer than all the people she was serving I got an extremely abrupt rude response back from girl with blonde hair in ponytail. So much for customer service and customer being right. The entire staff need to do customer service training. We then walked out and we weren’t the only ones to walk out. We went to Hilton hotel where it was just as busy and received extremely friendly efficient and prompt customer service. I know where I’ll b going in future.
