Bidra med feedbackNeeded a quick Friday Bahn mi fix. Decided to hit up Bahn Mi Cafe for some roast pork goodness. With the chilli still burning my mouth I now write this. So how was it? Not the best Bahn Mi going but it does the job. It is filling and has some nice pickled veg for freshness and the bread roll has that crunchy outside soft in the middle thing going on that we all love. <br <br What I wasn't thrilled about was the Hoi Sin sauce (a first for me) that was drizzled in the roll. Seriously. I didn't ask for it so must assume it comes standard. The roast pork wasn't a generous serve and lacked that fantastic crispy crunch but was still ok. Price was reasonable at $5.50. Will be back again though to try the spicy beef stew based on Porcsy's review.
My favourate Banh Mi Place, Im a vego, I love the lemon grass tofo rolls, the secret is their marinated tofu and the flavors in their rolls, They make wonderful Noodle salads with either vegie spring rolls in it or tofu. Vegi Noodle soup is to die for, I love the spicyness of them. The cold rolls, yum yum, they are the best, and the mint and marinated tofu makes them the best. I oftern go to other Banh Mi as I work in the city, but I keep comming back to Mings Place on the weekends or if I have a day off and bring my friends because its so great.
I've recently returned for the great value banh mi that are chock full of ingredients! The cold rolls are still big and tasty. Very friendly staff. I am still to go back to try their pho and other dishes.
This is a great spot to grab some of the popular Vietnamese dishes that we've all come to know and love. The prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is great. The Vietnamese iced coffee is really nice too. The staff are really welcoming and friendly too.Whilst everything about this place is pretty pleasing, the thing that I absolutely love the most about it is the Bho Kho spicey beef stew. This is an absolute must try I cannot speak of it highly enough. I have eaten at a lot of places and I eat out quite regularly but this $10.90 dish is still one of the best things I've ever had in my mouth. The broth is simply amazing, packed with flavour and spice. The meat melts in your mouth and the carrots always cooked to perfection
Tofu banh mi is my favourite, but this place has multiple vegetarian banh mi options, as well as vegan pho and laksa indeed a whole vegetarian/vegan menu, which seems rare for Adelaide's banh mi establishments. We had the lemongrass tofu banh mi and vegan laksa and both were delicious. We'll definitely be back.
