This place really doesn't change. We have never needed to book, although some nights it has been busy. Popular with locals, who know a thing or two, it lives off the overflow of some of the neighbouring restaurants. This does not mean it is second best to them all, and we have tried most of them. Spanish run it offers low prices, decent portions and a menu to suit most British tastes. There are some blackboards with pictures of dishes displayed on the walls, but don't worry the staff speak good English. They are quite happy to accommodate drinkers too. What you see is what you get, and you can easily view diners from the road before deciding to eat here.
We ate here five years ago and it has stood still in time. Ideal to visit on a quiet night, when you can't be bothered to book anywhere, we never saw it full and people turned away, which is not the case in most other restaurants on this strip. The menu is simple and displayed on large boards attached to the walls to avoid confusion, there are some pictures too. The menu is mostly British although the family who run the restaurant are Spanish. This is a laid back establishment offering low prices and basic food with good portions. The beers and wines are fine too and some people call for drinks only. As five years ago we did return.
