Bidra med feedbackBench is a relatively new wine bar in Newtown.
I've been here a few times and its cool as a local meeting spot, but I have mixed feelings about the place. I hear the wine list is good, not that I am
We had walked passed Bench Wine Bar for some months now wondering what was going on with the space as it had been the restaurant area for the pizza place
Stayed with Eurocamp in an air conditioned 2 bed mobile home. The site is not overly large and very clean and well kept - all pitches are nice and shady being separated by high oleander hedges/trees, and are relatively private. The swimming pool is lovely but you need to get there early to guarantee sunbeds - much easier once the French summer holidays ended and the site started to empty out. Speedo type trunks must be worn in the pool. The slides are fun for a while. The games/sports area is great for kids and adults alike. It's possible to walk to the beach but it takes around 20 minutes...the beach is lovely and sandy - not too busy with toilets and lifeguard stations. Drinks at the bar are quite expensive (€6 for a pint of beer or a large glass of wine). The camp shop is stocked with basics only. All in all a very nice site - we would stay again.
We visited for one night - our last night of our camper van holiday. We chose this campground with its five pools and slides for the kids as it was the total opposite of the nature camping experiences we had had on the rest of the trip. The camp ground is enormous and it was fantastic (while only ten percent of the place was occupied). There is mostly mobile home cabin style accommodation and a grid of roads. Everything is very well set up: rubbish, playgrounds, superb laundry with 10-14kg size washer (10 euros a load) and equivalent drier. Even a hairdresser and manicurist. There is an excellent bread service (first in first served) in the morning. The restaurant was excellent - and by far the best camp ground restaurant we had visited. The pool even had a water polo net and ball! On the down side in spring the bathroom block closest to us was closed so it was a real hike to the showers. No seats but toilet paper provided. Ratio of showers to loos heavily favoured showers for some reason. Shower stalls very compact but free though on a quick timer - keep pressing! There was an amazing array of things for the kids - tennis, archery, basket ball. The pitch we had was big and hedged so reasonably private - absolutely great place to stay while empty! When heaving with 1500 plus people we can only imagine!
