Bidra med feedbackUsed to be my favourite and the staff is just less than friendly and engaged. I really like the quesadillas though and I have been back.
Authentic, but sorta on the pricier side...but what isn't these days?Menu is pretty standard and there seemed to be a lot of veg options. The interior is small, exterior patio is quite large and somewhat shielded from the parking lot. Tita's is located in a small, strip plaza and it isn't the newest or fanciest spot.I ordered the Birria tacos that came with the consumé and it was $21/22 for 3 tacos. YES, they were pretty packed with beef and tasted a lot fresher than a spot that I stopped at in Roncesvalles, but Tita's was pricier in comparison for less tacos. The 3 tacos was a 1 portion serving. No doubt, it's an authentic, no frills spot, but don't expect to pay the same no frills price tag.
The food was okay. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t outstanding either. I personally didn’t like the corn, there was a lot of water in the cup. We tried 3 tacos, the pastor was good and I would get that again. The guac wasn’t bad but it could have been more flavourful and the portion was small for the price. The tres leches cake was pretty good. The service was great.
The food is good. It’s a bit pricy for what you get, but honestly, what isn’t these days? I’d avoid the aztec soup. It was $15 and there wasn’t much in it (mostly broth . The guac was good but really small for $9 (didn’t come with chips? so we had to order chips and salsa as well but the salsa was too spicy for my kid. The tacos were the star of the show. The service is a bit strange. You order food from the website and pay in advance, but you need to go inside to get beer (then pay separately .
As a mexican, I can tell you this place took me back to México. These are not taquería style tacos, but more like authentical homemade style tacos. (The churros bites are great as well!
