The Monarch Tavern - Toronto

Went to see a friend's band perform at the Monarch Tavern. The exterior of the pub is unique. When you step inside on the left, there's a bar and extra seats further up. Most of the seats are located on the right. It's a small space, so seats can fill up fast. Unfortunately, during the time we went, the kitchen was closed all week, which was a bummer. My friend and I went across the street to Bitondo's. The pizza wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed the bands, and there were good vibes. FYI parking is limited.

We reserved the top floor at the Monarch for a private family event, and it was absolutely perfect. The planning process was easy, and all the staff were amazing. They were attentive and friendly, and they made delicious cocktails. I highly recommend the Monarch!

Surprisingly good food! The chips had a dense crisp shell and tender middle, and we're excellently seasoned, while the fish was moist and flakey and perfectly battered. I'm a little disappointed I didn't order one of the pies, as someone else's pie order smelled so good I wanted to try that too.After dinner we went downstairs for a show, and the sound was great. It's a nice little intimate venue for small shows.

Great neighborhood pub. Hang with the locals. Pool table and pinball upstairs. Good beer selection. Good place to watch the game.

We recently held a private event in the upstairs pub, and we could not be happier with how everything went. The atmosphere is great, the prices were reasonable, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that our guests were well taken care of. We're super lucky to have this place in our neighbourhood.
