Silk Road Kabob House - Toronto

Nice kebabs, and the eggplant dish, very flavorful. I really loved the Phirni, really good. Although I wish it was chilled, would have been nicer. Also, please check the produce for the salad, I think the cucumber was a bit off. Loved the message on the counter, life is short, eat dessert first ?

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem and one of my favorites! It is rare to find a kebab place where the food tastes as amazing as it smells, but this place consistently lives up to that expectation. The staff is also very friendly. The lamb soup reminds me of wedding food, and the spiced rice served with any of the kebabs is delicious on its own. The only downside is that the food takes a little while to be prepared, but the freshness and flavor make it worth the wait. The meat is tender and juicy, the spice levels are just right, and the baklava is a great option for those who prefer desserts that are not overly sweet.

Extremely accommodating! My friend and I decided to dine here and the lamb shank was incredible. We had the pleasure of meeting Omar, who I believe is the owner, and the Chef. They graciously waited for us to finish our last minute order. Thank you! We will definitely return again! Additionally, the portion size was generous for two people.

So happy I came across this hidden gem. We came for takeout and we got the chicken and the beef kofta. Generous portions and absolutely delicious. Seasoned, fragant and a joy to eat. We tried their Afghan version of dumplings and they are a must. Super reccomended for lunch and dinner. Place is casual and has great service.

I have visited many Afghan restaurants in downtown Toronto, and I can confidently say that this is the best one, possibly the best in all of the six districts! The chaplee kabob is absolutely delicious - thick and juicy. The naan is also incredible, with the perfect texture inside and out. Pairing a piece of naan with a piece of kabob and dipping it in the red sauce creates a perfect combination of flavors in your mouth. This dining experience is truly satisfying and I will be coming back at least once a week. It is a must-try for any food lover.
