Royal Chinese Restaurant - Toronto

We enjoy dining at this restaurant for delicious Chinese cuisine, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Some standout dishes include their crab, bird's nest, deep fried tofu, and more. I also appreciate that they stay open late for those late-night Chinese food cravings.

I highly recommend this Chinese restaurant for their delicious food, they don't overwhelm dishes with excessive sauces, spices, or soy sauce. The Chicken fried rice was especially tasty, as were the wonton and corn soups. Don't miss out on trying this place! - my2cents

We have been loyal customers of this restaurant for years. The food is both delicious and healthy, and we could eat here every day! The service is always attentive and the prices are reasonable. We highly recommend this place!

When we looked at the huge crowd we saw on a Saturday night, we knew that this place would not disappoint us. We ordered Schezwan Prawns, a hot plate of tofu with vegetables, along with some spicy mussels. The spicy mussels were the best choice we have chosen...for our meal, well cooked and perfectly seasoned with a very good level of spices that were then spun on. In addition, the hot plate was served deliciously with generous portions of various vegetables and tofu. The Scottish shrimps were mediocre, although it did not turn out what we had expected for a dish that adheres to the “Schezwan” title (Picky peppercorns). Like most Chinese restaurants, this ice cream offers free tea. In addition, it also offered us a free pot of pork broth with soup and orange slices for dessert. Overall, this is a decent place to get some Chinese seafood, although despite the huge portion sizes, I feel that the prices for seafood dishes are somewhat higher than some Chinese restaurants in Scarborough and Richmond Hill/Markham.

Went here for a family members birthday dinner. That person had emailed the restaurant prior to going and asked that the MSG be removed from their food and were told by the restaurant that it wouldn’t be a problem and would remove all MSG. When...we arrived, the story changed to “there is some MSG already added to the meat but we won’t add any more”. When the food came out and we started eating, it was obvious that all of the food was loaded with MSG and the restaurant had added it anyways. Would never go back here. The food wasn’t even that good and I felt so dehydrated from all the MSG in the food.
