Bidra med feedbackReally more pleasant place to dinate. we were there for lunch and every party in our group had something else. the menu is varied and safe for everyone!
It was one of the best meals I had in a restaurant in a long time. the waiter was excellent and we let him recommend what to get. will eat here definitiw again.
This was our second time here. Again, we were here for late lunch, which was good as the restaurant was not crowded and we did not have to wait long. This round, we ordered grilled calamari as our appertizer. The sauce that came along with the dish tasted very different and delicious. The calamari was grilled to the optimal texture, which was nice to chew. For the main dishes, we went for chicken kapitan and lamb curry. Both were great but we preferred chicken kapitan as this dish had good balance of taste. It had the combination of sweetness, sourness and spiciness. I had chicken kapitan in Malaysia prior to this but at that time, the dish was full of coconut milk and did not taste as nice as the one served by this restaurant. Lamb curry was not bad and the lamb was quite tender.
Admittedly this is my first experience with Malay food, but wow what an introduction!!! Big, bold flavour and excellent service. We will definitely be back !!!
My husband and I went there for the first time. We come from Malaysia and have strong cravings for Malaysian food. My husband came across this restaurant when he was doing his research and thus, we paid a visit to the restaurant. Went there on Friday at about 2.30pm. As lunch hour had just passed, there were only 3-4 groups of customers, including us. They serve halal chicken and lamb here, but not for beef. We ordered nasi lemak chicken curry, chicken satay, spring rolls, and hokkien mee. Before that, we had gone to other restaurants which claimed to serve Malaysia food. Let be honest, so far, only this restaurant could satisfy us in term of the quality and quantity. The flavor was very authentic, as if we were in Malaysia. The chicken satay was so tender, juicy and not just a thin slice of meat. We could taste strong lemon grass flavor in the satay which made it extremely fragrant. Coming to the satay sauce, we always had typical peanut sauce for satay in Malaysia but this restaurant impressed us by serving a different type of sauce and we really really liked it! For the nasi lemak, we would prefer to a different type of sambal, which is more to our liking. However, the way they cooked the prawns was perfect. The taste and aroma of the prawns satisfied us! The hokkien mee was very great too. The portion was big and when I took the noodles with hot chilli padi, it was so amazing. During our meal, the waiter had come to us for at least 4-5 times to ensure everything was fine. He was so kind and friendly. We also had a small conversation with him as well and got to know his wife is the chef. Good service. Good food. Good restaurant. AUTHENTIC. We shall visit again when we are back to Toronto.
