Local Public Eatery - Toronto

We had to wait in line for 30 mins which apparently is quite normal. Nice touch being offered a drink while in line. We ordered shrimp dumpling app which was really good. Main course, noodle bowl was okay, lacked a bit of flavour and we had to return once because the chicken was too pink. The service however was amazing! We had a great server named Emma who was absolutely delightful. She was very attentive and quick with drinks and making sure our dinner was served properly. Too bad every restaurant didn't have an Emma!

Had supper here before the Keith Urban concert on the weekend. Be sure to go early as you line up for an available table. We were a party of 4, so got in after about a 20 minute wait. Our server took our drink order and then Sam took over…very attentive! We started off with drinks. Would recommend the Muskoka Craft Lager, **** Caesar and our DD had ice tea…all good! Ordered the shrimp dumplings and the tacos…yummy! Three of us ordered the blackened chicken sandwich with onion rings, (I shared with my friend. Another ordered the ahi tuna poke rice bowl…ok, but needed soy sauce. Great food and service. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to get to our concert venue.

We ordered delivery and everything was pretty meh. The chicken wings were the best thing but didn't have much sauce. The salad was just a pile of huge lettuce leaves. And the famous fried chicken sandwich was mostly flavorless.

My daughter and I went there for a pre-show dinner. The place was buzzing with activity. Nevertheless, we were promptly seated and served. I ordered the Local burger with reg. fries, my daughter ordered the veggie burger with yam fries...both burgers were simply mouthwatering! I had a Caesar (pricey $10.25! Sensational, nonetheless), my daughter had a glass of Pinot Noir. Great service...thanks Erin...so gracious! Definitely recommend this eatery!
