Bidra med feedbackThe food was decent, but I was disgusted to find two hairs in my takeout container later on.
service was excellent. Despite arriving near closing time, the staff was still accommodating and provided quick service. The noodles were delicious and tasted very fresh, definitely worth a visit.
I came to this restaurant for the second time and the food was just as delicious as before! I absolutely love their hand-pulled noodles.
Gloomy, dingy basement location. No money spent on décor but you can't eat décor. Friendly greeting from eager proprietor. Only a few diners mid week lunch time but everyone seemed happy. The menus are well worn but feature some interesting items at fair prices. Nice to see some different dishes. We both had stir fried noodle dishes, served very hot, very fresh. Good sized portions and my noodles with chives and shrimp, certainly had lots of shrimp. Tea replenished at regular intervals. Really, can't complain about anything. We've been here before and we'll go again. I wish they'd spruce the place up, just a bit and maybe replace the menus. That would make it a bit more inviting. But the food and prices are just fine as they are.
We arrived on our 1st night in Toronto from London to spend Christmas with our relatives in Canada and how cold we found out it was.....minus 16'c and going for a walk about is not an good idea.....So we walked into some where warm. Then we realised its a small restaurant run by 3 family members only.Food was very tasty and authentic Northern China cuisine. Typical pan fried chive cakes, grilled and steam dumplings, boiled noodles mix in spicy sauce and a special spicy chilli vinegar soya sauce king prawn dish, although a bit slow but definitely worth the wait,as for all good things in life....it takes time. Its very home cooking style and I love it.Sometimes I just need a basic stable food.Very basic and homely indeed. But worth a visit.
