Guirei Japanese Restaurant - Toronto

I had gyoza and the seafood yaki ramen. Both were very delicious! I usually only order sushi but this was a pleasant change. Server was friendly. View was nice.

I know it's a sushi place but I had a craving for Dolsot Bibimbap. I guess because it actually had this Korean rice dish, it wouldn't be considered a purist sushi resto. Regardless, I'm not able to eat beef and they were able to substitute with chicken with no attitude. The dish came crackling in the stone bowl and that was music to my ears. It brought me joy as I mixed the ingredients and pressed them against the walls of the bowl. The Saba (mackerel) pieces were extremely fresh and the Lobster roll was delicious...even with the brown rice which actually gave it an extra nutty flavour. The service was friendly and the ambience was relaxed. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

A pleasant discovery just steps from the Toronto City Centre airport. Unagi roll was very good, but salmon and tuna belly sushi were outstanding.

Delicious. I lived in the condo building attached to this restaurant for a few years and it quickly became one of my favourite spots in the city. The staff is very friendly (they always remembered not to put eel in my order and would replace it with my favourite--salmon! The prices are great for the amount of food you get and the fish is fresh and delicious. <br/ <br/ When you sit in the restaurant as opposed to take out, there are a few little extras with your meal. (Some pieces of sushi before you meal arrives and a free, small bowl of some type of broth and noodle...delicious but I never asked what it was called! I've had certain servers that have not been the best--extremely slow and not attentive, but I've always returned for the great sushi. <br/ <br/ Be sure to check this place out in the summer and sit on the patio. The view is great!

Pretty good. The sushi is pretty good here fish is fresh and they have a good variety of rolls incorporating creative ingredients. Servings are not overly generous, though, for the price. But still a good deal. The spicy salmon is a favourite of mine. Also has a great patio to watch the waterfront people traffic go by.
