Bidra med feedbackThis small barbecue restaurant in Toronto has mastered the art of BBQ meats. The brisket is the best I've ever tasted, with a delicious mustard and pickle sauce. The fries are decent and the cole slaw is excellent. I can't wait to go back and try some of their other sides like double smoked beans with four different types of beans and cheesy grits. Many restaurants in the area claim to offer BBQ, but few can match the quality of Greenwood. They truly understand the balance of art and technology that goes into this cuisine. If you love smoked meats, treat yourself to a meal at Greenwood.
I recently discovered a hidden gem called Greenwood Smokehouse. We ordered the 2 Meat Platter with a side of mac n cheese. The scent of the place was delightful and the food exceeded our expectations. The brisket was incredibly tender and flavorful, while the pork was delicious. The fries were perfectly crispy. The staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience and I can't wait to return.
Went here recently. We were a large group. Service is helpful and friendly. It’s cozy and has a quiet and well shaded patio. The smell of this place will make your mouth water. The beef brisket, Nashville chicken sandwich and wings are so delicious. The beef brisket is truly incredible. Yummy fries too!
Sad to give this score but I 'm saving you from a hit or miss experience. I have spent $180 combined in Uber eats ordering here two times. First time was good. We ordered late so I expected that the brisket was a little dry but the flavors of everything were incredible. Really the best 'smokey ' flavor. We had brisket, the beans and the ribs. The beans I 'd pass on, every BBQ place in Toronto just adds way too much tomato paste and it doesn 't taste sweet or smokey. That asides, the experience was rememberable. At least, that 's what I want, something that sticks out and I remember. So we decided to treat friends, same order but this time we got the rib tips on top. I will talk a little about the those in a moment. I looked like an idiot. Right away I knew it was wrong because the Ribs suddenly fitted into a smaller box that wouldn 't hold one rib. Now keep in mind, these are $21 for half a rack before tip, delivery 0r tax. It was disgraceful. Inedible, dry, little bits of broken ribs all shoved into this tiny box and you couldn 't even Chew them. Ok so maybe it was late, I reached out and asked what happened, could we try again because we feel like they were so good before and this seems totally different. 0 response. Now I 'm no restaurant genius, but when you are charging those prices and you can 't be bothered to reach out you have big issues coming your way. So without being hard for the sake of being hard, don 't order the rib tips, they are just little tiny dry rib bit cut up, not proper BBQ burnt ends or anything. The brisket was dry, not anywhere near as smokey or flavorful. Just half assed frankly it felt. So now we won 't ever eat here again because they couldnt be bothered to acknowledge that their food was inedible. Happy to send it and charge for it though which is frankly just Toronto in a nutshell it seems. Maybe you will get some good food here at lunch when they can be bothered to send it edible. Otherwise based on my experience you are rolling the dice on your night. I 'll update this with a better place once I try some of the other more approachable restros and let you guys know what 's got good stuff.
First time ordering from this place and I ordered the wings , the quantity was great however the wings had absolutely no smoke flavor, and they were heavily sauced, maybe to hide the fact that they were not smoked I'm sure the wings were not smoked which they should be as it is a place that serves smoked meat a la bbq, I was very confused ...
