El Rey Mezcal Bar - Toronto

Excellent margaritas, with choice of spirit (mezcal or not). Nachos with guacamole also very good! We sat outside a hot day and saw the world over.

If that had been open, I would miss the excellent ambience of the interior. Nice warm place with very good service. The tacos were amazing, especially the quinces (although I still prefer them). Very recommended for a beer or cocktails.

Have a few evenings here in September 2021 and will never forget. First, the entire neighborhood of the Kensington Market has a special ambience and atmosphere. And then El Rey! Both nights my wife and I sat outside under big people, heating and fantastic El Rey servers. Had some great drinks and our server was happy – and he was interested in our origins, Copenhagen, and we were interested in insider tips on Toronto and Kensington Market. And he was very cool and gave us a lot of cool information. The tacos were very delicious! I personally love the Painkiller cocktail. Being in a Mezcal Bar, I turned to her cocktail Just take it and wow what a treat! Loves food, service, drinks and vibe.

Large ceviche and amazing tacos, the place can be busy at weekends, but the waiting time is worth it.

Great tacos here especially the chicken! We also got guac and chips to share, which was unique there are cashews and what looked like baked chickpeas in the guac. It was really delicious. I also really like the margaritas. We went on a...friday after work, so it was busy at first. We sat at the bar, but then were able to move to a table in probably about 15 minutes, and then move to the patio once our food arrived. Service was friendly and very conscientious about dietary restrictions. I'd highly recommend this spot.
