California Sandwiches - Toronto

I have been coming to this restaurant since high school. My go-to order is always the calf sandwich, and I prefer it spicy so I always get it hot. However, over the years, their hot spice level has become more mild. Despite this, it is still the best calf sandwich I have ever had and I don't think anything else compares. The portion size has remained consistent throughout the years. I always make sure to visit this restaurant whenever I am in town. The dining area is nice, with plenty of space and clean surroundings.

I absolutely love the Spicy Vene halves at this restaurant. They are a must-try! Some people recommend ordering the sauce on the side and generously drizzling it over the sandwich. I also enjoy pairing it with olives, salami, and a side of brioche, making it one of my go-to meals. The quality at this Claremont location is superior to the other locations. Keep in mind that they only accept cash for payment.

Best calf sandwich in Toronto. My family and I have been here for years. It tastes amazing, the staff is friendly and there is a minimum waiting time. It's a big portion so I usually save half for later. All in all, it is a great quality sandwich for a great price.

The beef sandwich is fantastic. It is large, juicy, and well-seasoned. The flavor is incredible and the portion size is generous. You just need to get creative with the toppings. It may be a bit messy, but it is still delicious!
