Bolan Thai Cuisine - Toronto

Went there with a friend for dinner and ordered the Snow Shrimp and Crispy Tofu Salad for appetizers and the Spicy Eggplant for mine and the Panang Curry Beef with Egg for her main course. The Snow Shrimp arrived with 4 pieces crispy with rice...puffs. The Crispy Tofu Salad was just Romaine salad tossed with red peppers, carrots, and tofu pieces. For my main course I had requested no carrots and no bell peppers for my eggplant dish and asked if there would be any substitution for vegetables like broccoli their answer was no accomodations. When my dish came, they arrived with carrots decoration, when I pointed this out to the server, he quickly resolved the issue by removing it from the dish (It is a good thing I was not deathly allergic to carrots). The Panang Curry Beef had a great tasting sauce (slightly salty and should be eaten with the rice provided) and came with a big platter of meat. My friend ended up packing half of her meal home. Overall it was a decent meal with pricey dishes.

Worse experience of my life! Not child friendly so we have no choice but to get take out. Told us “30 minutes everything fresh” I clearly and loudly said NO ONIONS on everything . I go 35 minutes to pick up my order and it’s...not ready, they tried to make me pay twice . Ten minutes later I get the food to find out the portions are small and filled with onions . I tried to call by the phone is ringing and no one is picking up . My wife said the food is bland, taste like frozen store bought food. I have no idea how this place is always busy with rude service and terrible food.

Where do I start? At first place, I love Thai food (I mean, I love green thai curry ? . And this place felt like heaven in my mouth. I really love how the after taste was also in my mouth. I would definitely want to go back to experience the food again and again or maybe even get a takeaway.But with regards to service and the staff, I think this needs a bit of work on the eticates because the lady serving us food, gave a small plate for our starters and before we even finished our appetizers, she took away the plate even without asking. These are really small things that need attention cause it's a bit of disrespect on the costumers.Parking: It's a paid street parking and a bit difficult to find a spot.

Food is good but not as spectacular as the reviews made it seem to be. I’d say it’s decent. The fried wontons were too oily chewy and the meat was a little undercooked inside. The fried chicken in my red curry was the same way. Overall the food left my stomach aching and feeling strange.-Service is good, the server is nice but it kind of seemed like she was rushing to get us out when it was only us 2 in there.

Food presentation was great but shrimps had a funny taste and were either not fresh or not cooked enough.
