Bidra med feedbackThe decor could use some improvement, but the staff is sincere and welcoming. I ordered lamb tibs with a side of salad on injera, a soft and spongy flatbread. I had to adjust to eating with my hands by using a piece of injera to pick up the lamb. For dessert, I was served freshly popped popcorn and a delightful cup of Ethiopian coffee made from freshly roasted and ground beans. The coffee had a distinct and delightful flavor.
I had never tried Ethiopian food before, so I followed the recommendation of the very helpful waitress. It was delicious! Even the picky children enjoyed their meals. I would definitely go back again.
My visit to this restaurant on New Year's Eve was a pleasant surprise. The place was not crowded, likely due to people celebrating elsewhere, so we had the restaurant to ourselves. The owners and their family were there, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. As someone who had never tried Ethiopian food before, I was overwhelmed by the menu options. The waitress was helpful in guiding us towards a few dishes to try. The food arrived promptly and was served in generous portions. I opted for the vegetarian dish, which was flavorful but not spicy. It was accompanied by sourdough bread in its own pan, allowing me to easily scoop up the food. The waitress provided guidance on how to eat the meal, which I appreciated. We enjoyed watching the countdown with the family and were even offered a glass of champagne to share in the celebration. The food, atmosphere, and hospitality were all noteworthy. I would definitely return if ever in Toronto again, especially considering the affordable prices for the portion sizes.
Amazing and delicious food! One of my favourites on the danforth. _The lamb is Ontario raised and tastes divine!
We ordered the mixed veggie and meat platters (two each) for eight people.
