Bidra med feedbackDecent sushi without having to leave our hotel! They advertise it as city views since it 's on the top floor but the view isn 't that stunning, it 's mostly all the surrounding commercial buildings in the outskirts of Toronto. The service was really good, our server was so sweet to us and our daughter and took special care to make her a set of kid friendly chopsticks. We all enjoyed our dinner- very nice sushi rolls.
Warning: Sagano no longer offers the Ranzan 5-course dinner with sake pairings although when you Google Sagano Japanese Restaurant Menu , you will believe that this is still on the menu. The raw fish is room temperature and not chilled. The quality is similar to or less than many plaza sushi restaurants but for a much greater price. The only redeeming factor is the service provided by the maitre 'd and waitresses. After years of loving Sagano, we will not be returning and will be advising our friends not to waste their money. There are much better Japanese restaurants to go to.
I have been celebrating my friends birthday at Sagano for the last 8 years. It has always been a special evening with good food and service. She has been going to Sagano for some 20 years. The staff know us and make it very enjoyable. This time we did not enjoy the food and will not be coming back until you make changes to the menu or bring back items from the previous menu. There was no presentation or taste. I had Donburi with beef. It came in a bowl with rice, beef and a fried egg. It was so plain and definitely not worth $27. I have had better food at the food courts. My friends order was simply put on a plate. It should have come on a boat dish or presented much better. The sashimi was not fresh. The menu is also very limited. The previous menu was a bit higher in cost but the items were so nicely presented and it was a pleasure to eat good food .
The Sashimi is amazing! The ramen soup are really good. Double maki tuna and crab are fresh.
I took my family there for my partner 's birthday partner but we were very disappointed by the limited menu items and what they did have was extremely overpriced. The view was not what I thought it would be as I was expecting a view of Toronto skyline but really it was a view of Hwy 401. The food was tasty but I wouldn 't go there again for dinner. Perhaps lunch is more affordable. They charge downtown Toronto rates but are located in a Scarborough hotel.
