The London Fryer - Torbay

We frequently order from this fish and chip shop because we have always appreciated the quality of their food. However, during our last takeaway order, we discovered that one portion of chips was missing. After calling to inform them, we were told that they would deliver the missing item. Unfortunately, it took three quarters of an hour for the chips to arrive, long after everyone had already finished their meals. When I called again, I was informed that a note had been left at the front desk. I expressed my frustration at the situation and was told that the staff, who were young and limited to just three employees, were overwhelmed. The chips finally arrived, but we were not satisfied with the experience, especially since this has not been the first time our orders have been incorrect. It seems like there is a lack of quality control in place. I am disappointed to have to leave this review, but it is clear that improvements are necessary.

We visited the restaurant during the air show, which was a busy time. We were worried about having to wait for our food, but our concerns were unfounded. The staff were friendly, the service was quick, and the food was delicious.

Excellent takeaway (saw diners have great table service too). Customer service was lovely. It seemed like the team had really efficient communication which meant we didn't wait long for food at all. Haddock was freshly fried and delicious. Mushy peas were sweet and green rather than the usual salty grey pot you get elsewhere. Large chips were a super portion for 2 adults and a child to share!

Best fish and chips ! In a long time and the resturant so friendly ! Couldn’t do enough for you toilets spotless ! Fish plentiful I had a child’s portion and struggled to eat it all after a long Walk across the beach a prefect pit stop !
