Papa Johns - Torbay

The pizzas at this restaurant are terrible. The dough is too thick and stodgy, leaving you feeling bloated like you just ate a whole loaf of bread, and they are very stingy on toppings. It might be the worst pizza I've ever had. On a positive note, the online ordering process was smooth, I picked up my order, and the staff were very friendly. The kitchen was also very clean. However, I would never come back here because the pizzas were just so bad. I hate giving negative reviews, but I felt I had to in this case.

I am thrilled that the restaurant is back open. The customer service was fast and efficient, and the staff at the front desk were friendly and energetic. They made sure my order was just right. I look forward to returning again soon.

I ordered a pizza for takeaway from this restaurant about 2-3 years ago and thought it was quite good. Tonight, we ordered a pizza through UberEats and it arrived within 15 minutes as we live nearby in St Marychurch. Unfortunately, the BBQ meat feast pizza we received looked like it had been cooked hours before and was very bland. They do not offer wedges or fries, only bland "potato tots" priced at £5.99 per portion. We also ordered buffalo wings which were small, cold, and priced at £7.29 for six wings. The large pizza we ordered was bland and priced at £21.99. With two portions of potato tots, one portion of wings, delivery, and service charge, the total came to £44 even with a £15 discount voucher. This experience was awful, overpriced, and disappointing. Papa John's should be ashamed. I regret not checking their 2.5-star rating before ordering. Lesson learned.

We ordered from here the other day since they had an offer which was 50% if you spend £30 or more and that includes pizza, sides and desserts. We had our usual order and we ordered some peri peri chicken poppers since we wanted to try them and they were half price. The pizza and the garlic bread was nice as usual. The chicken was ok but i would never pay full price for it. Overall it was a nice meal.

Had a nightmare trying to order and use the papa rewards system, so called the store and got through to Georgie, she couldn’t do much with the rewards scheme from her side but really went the extra mile to get the order sorted. Deserves a pay rise 100% excellent service.
