Riegel's 20's West - Topeka

Cool little spot. Stopped in town for the night otw back to Colorado. Was happy to see a place so close to the Best Western. Had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and a few local KC Fests on tap. Totally decent. Chris was a top notch bartender and the cook was nice also. It was cool to hang out with some real Topeka people! Finding random spots like this are why I love life on the road. Thanks!

This pub has a very relaxing atmosphere. Since I do reviews on pubs. This pub seems like once you become a regular and establish that you are not a trouble maker they will put you in the inner circle. The bartender was very polite and knows how to make drinks that are delicious. She makes them not to strong but not to weak. The only reason why I did not give them 5 stars is due to the pool table and the cues. First lets start with the tables. They run very fast due to the felt being worn out. The tables are close to being level but can use that extra tweek to have them level. The price per game is the same as other pubs in Topeka; .75 a game. As for the cue sticks I couldn't find one that was straight at all. With the cues being curved along with the fast run it makes a challenge to play a consistent game. The over all atmosphere was great. The age range varies from young to older customers. This pub played a variety of music and I respect that aspect. One song may be rap and the next song could be old rock. In my opinion, if you are relaxed and not looking to fight this is the place to go. This pub has better prices on drinks than the dugout. In addition, they have a kitchen with great bar food and a great selection. If you can act right this pub is the right place for you.

Nice comfortable bar nothing fancy, just a place to have a drink and enjoy friends. Will go back

Great neighborhood establishment for gathering with friends to relax. Good food, free popcorn, and the prices are good. If you are looking for a spot with no drama and friendly staff, this is a good place to go.
