Bidra med feedbackI have the brown rice breakfast bowl, which is listed as one of the vegan-optional dishes. the non-vegan version is $16 and comes with a soft egg. the vegan version is still $16 and comes simply without the egg; add tofu is $4 either away. the bowl did not taste like salt. the situation is beautiful, however, and at least there was no allowance for hafer/ mandelmilch. it could be worth making a coffee in the beautiful environment and eating elsewhere.
This restaurant is stunning and offers a variety of vegan options. The roasted vegetables and Brussels sprouts appetizer for dinner were delicious. The risotto and cauliflower dish for the main course were spectacular. Be sure to visit this place! I would give it 5 stars but could only select 4 on the app. The service is also excellent.
We went to this restaurant for Sunday brunch yesterday. Despite making a reservation the night before and requesting a table near the creek, we were seated at the worst two-person table in the restaurant, far from the creek. When we mentioned this to the host, she said there were no other tables available due to an event. We were seated near the entrance and next to the event, with a constant stream of people passing by on both sides. The service was slow, our meals did not include the scones that were supposed to be included, and our request for pepper was ignored. On the bright side, the food was delicious, our waiter gave us an extra scone to take home, and the restaurant had a charming garden-like atmosphere. (Updated from previous review on 2020 08 03)
Despite the fancy decor, don't be deceived. I paid $65 for a single meal and had a hard time seeing in the dim lighting. It took 30 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us for drink orders. I was shocked to discover that the vegan meal on the menu contained honey. When I asked the waiter about it, he explained that the chef was not well-informed about veganism because he is French. This was concerning, as it meant items were being labeled as vegan when they were not. The waiter also suggested there was a difference between strict vegan and "light" vegan, which is inaccurate. The food took a long time to arrive and each course was cold. I do not recommend this restaurant. Save your money and dine elsewhere for better food and service.
The only reason to visit here is for vegans is the Sunday brunch. Everything is vegan except if you pay $5 more you can eat dead stuff from the ocean. Otherwise you are in for a treat of raw-liciousness of about 8 salads and veggies dishes (i.e. beet salad, asparagus salad, etc) The desserts are lovely--our fave were these pumpkin scones--to die for good--I have to admit we even took some home with us in our purse--yea, they're THAT good. While dining outside in the lovely setting a tiny frog landed on our table, he was so cute, he looked at us and then happily hopped away. Only bad thing is in summer there are A LOT of bees.
