Bidra med feedbackGood Irish pub, great pint of Guinness and good craic! Gets busy on the weekends with a decent crowd. Haven't had any food there so can't comment on it
We chose Fitzy's as it was Easterfest in Toowoomba and it seemed like the only place in town we could get a table for lunch without a reservation. Even so we were not able to sit in the restaurant, and banished to bar area. We ended up sitting outside which was nice as it was quieter. Having had an expensive dinner here previously I was surprised their lunches were so cheap and good value too. My parents had the $12 fish and chips and my husband and I had Parmigiana for $15 which was so large I couldn't finish it. It was a generous serving and quite tasty. The fish was reportedly good too though the tartare sauce (if that's what it was) tasted odd. The last time I was here the dining room staff were rude but this time being served by disinterested bar staff was better.
We recently celebrated a 40th birthday here, and I was pleasantly surprised with the food quality and service. The cost of food is a bit much, but it is beautifully prepared and flavourful. We enjoyed a tasting plate, and scallop app, then shared a pizza. It was all tasty. Nice ambiance and atmosphere too. It was raining outside, and it was cozy inside. We'll definitely be back.
I had the mini Angus mignons for a starter and confit duck on pumpkin, leeks, onions and shitake mushrooms for the main.. Holy **** it was delicious
A pub-restaurant that's very popular with the locals. Good steak, great beer-battered chips but ordinary salad. The Guinness pie is worth a try. Modern pub decor with good service. Perhaps a bit pricey for the genre.
