Bidra med feedbackGreat cafe to have breakfast. I had the Cornbread and Chilli and my friend had the All In. Both were delicious and the coffee was great too. Lovely atmosphere and the staff were very accommodating as we didn’t have a reservation but still fitted us in. Highly recommended!
Sausage roll was really lovely and Tasty. Home made. Atmosphere and staff are great. The only let down was the chai late. I’m not really picky with chai’s but this was in a small glass and tasted extremely weak. Like skimmed milk and coloured like chai but barely any taste. 4 stars
The rosemary and vanilla iced latte is the treat you are needing! They make the syrup from their own rosemary. My tofu scramble was a pretty and tasty dish too. When I asked for gluten free, they double-checked if I meant coeliac, and made extra efforts, which I appreciated.
Donut Frenchie Jam Donut French Toast Yikes. Yeah. I think I’m 95% a savoury breakfast guy. This was an unusual pick and not one I’d recommend unless you’re at the complete other end of the sweet savoury breakfast spectrum. French toast donut is different, but I guess it’s different for a reason. Really I’m a bit confused by the mix of elements. Pros? The floral garnishes were actually pleasant and very flavourful. But… the orange for the flavour and texture, seemed out of place. As did the jam filling with the ice cream. As did a donut the size, shape and for the most part, consistency of a pancake. I’d just prefer some quality normal donuts with the ice cream and fresh fruit. The mid morning Sunday vibe is certainly different to that of an early weekday, but it seemed like a nice space. I did not regret the return for the Slow Braised Sugo Chickpeas. The balance of textures that this slice of very well toasted bread brought was just so well appreciated. Especially when combined with the tad bit of firmness that remained in the chickpeas and the almost creamy sugo. The zucchini added a good and necessary freshness to the side. All round each part of the dish felt well proportioned. A friendly vibe and a nice neighbourhood feel to the location, not that central though, and it only opens at 7:07am. For me, it’s a go if you got plenty time to stay or a swing through for takeaway if it’s on the way.
A cozy cafe that cares. Loving close, I often pop in for a coffee or sometimes for brunch. Service is always spectacular food is of utmost quality. Cater for omnivores, vegetarians and vegans. I particularly love the scrambled tofu on toast, The fetta with blistered tomatoes and the various sweet treats on the counter. Well with the wait when busy, put Burrow on your 'must-do ' Toowoomba list.
