Bidra med feedbackI stayed at the Burke and Wills hotel where breakfast was included. I had eaten there before and had a good experience. The selection is small but of good quality. The bacon was cooked perfectly and presented well, with tomatoes and mushrooms also included. My only issue was when I was asked if I wanted coffee with my meal. I asked for white coffee but was surprised when I was charged an additional five dollars for it. There was no indication that there would be an extra charge, so I was disappointed. I recommend that the management change this practice as it felt deceptive.
We had a family breakfast at 83 to celebrate my mother's birthday. There were 15 of us and we found the selection to be more than adequate, with plenty of options to choose from. The hot dishes were fresh and included items such as orange juice, cereals, yogurt, pastries, bacon, beans, baked eggs, hash browns, stuffed tomatoes, sausages, and delicious mushrooms. Coffee and tea were also included. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall, everyone in our group enjoyed the occasion and the breakfast.
Exceptional value for money when travelling with children. Excellent selection of breakfast options, often checked by staff and quickly refilled.
The dining experience was worth the money. The staff was excellent, although there could have been more of them. They worked hard to keep up with preparing fruit parfaits and making eggs, but scrambled eggs could have been served more quickly and efficiently. An additional coffee maker would be helpful to reduce the long wait times for coffee orders. Despite the wait, the coffee was delicious. Unfortunately, the bacon was overcooked. The standout item was the fruit-infused water, which was absolutely delicious.
The Conservatory serves either a very basic Continental breakfast, a cooked buffet breakfast or breakfast off the menu. For the price the menu items are the best bet and are generous servings and a good range of meals are available. The buffet however is very...poor and considering what you get in any overseas hotel, even the really cheap ones- this is basic at its best. I have been assured however that after refurbishment next year the menu is being revisited . The service however was good and the staff very nice but you pay extra for a decent cup of coffee. The Conservatory is open from 6 am .
